My installation dragged on a bit, for personal reasons. But step by step, everything then worked out well. A slightly stiff throttle cable threw me off my rhythm for a moment, but with some patience and the installation videos online I was able to follow everything just fine. After finishing, riding unfortunately wasn't possible at first. This is where I really have to highlight the support. In my case, Christian took outstanding care of things. In the end it turned out the circuit board had a fault. The replacement through Second Ride was absolutely straightforward and fast. Barely installed, the Simson was ready to ride. I'm truly thrilled. The conversion kit is well thought out, the support is top-notch and the riding feel is simply incredible! I can therefore wholeheartedly recommend Second Ride and this kit :-)

I'm absolutely thrilled with the Second Ride SR24 conversion kit for my Krause Duo 4/1. The TÜV inspection was completely straightforward, and getting the certificate stamped at the registration office took less than 5 minutes, very pleasant! The only small downside was that the chain supplied was too short. I then bought a 116-link chain, and after that everything fit perfectly. The riding feel completely won me over. I can finally be out and about with my dog, which simply wasn't possible before with the loud combustion engine. Now all you hear is the hum of the chain, and that's a huge gain in comfort and everyday usability. The stated range of 50 km with the 70-km battery is actually closer to about 40 km on country roads, but that just about covers my needs. I'm especially looking forward to the upgrade option with the new MID50 batteries, which promise a significantly higher range. Overall, the kit is a perfect combination of retro charm and modern technology. No more starting problems, no oil mess and no carburettor issues. The quality of the parts is high, and Second Ride's customer service was also very helpful. For anyone who wants to electrically convert their Krause Duo, Simson, or soon other 50cc to 125cc vehicles with a mid-mounted motor, I can only warmly recommend this conversion kit! It would be nice to also have a CarPlay view of the app, or at least widgets (which can now be shown in CarPlay too) to get real-time information, as well as a cruise-control function to cleanly hold a slightly lower speed on longer stretches, which would also be good for range...
