A look back: STS 2024
The Simson Treffen Suhl at the beginning of July was once again an absolute highlight this year! We were there with the Duo, SR50, S51 and the Star and took countless test rides and got to know many new interested parties and exciting contacts from the scene. For example, we talked at length with Erhard Werner. The former Simson designer, who was responsible for the development of the Schwalbe, for example, was extremely enthusiastic about our electric conversion kit.
As a participant in this year’s Creator Corner, Dirk from Simonsgarage was also there, of course with his electric Simson! As some of you may have seen on social media, he has a special version of the conversion kit: the first (and currently only) tuning kit. Dirk has built a great moped and is helping us test what is technically possible with our kit. The result: an incredible 17.8 hp of power and 112 Nm of torque!
The friendly team from Auto & Motorrad Wismeth were thrilled and tested the moped against their pimped-up enduro in an acceleration race. This and more in their video on YouTube!
Outlook: Vogelflug Suhl August 10
Numerous events are being held this year to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Spatz, Schwalbe and Star models. One of the most important: the Vogelflug event in Suhl on 10 August, organized by the Förderverein des Fahrzeugmuseums in Suhl.
We will be there with the electrified bird series and will also be organizing one or two interesting items in the program. We look forward to seeing you there!
